    Jim Kearns, Caltra, Caherlistrane, Co. Galway was the seventh son in his father's family; He was able to cure the pox by breathing three times into the persons mouth who was effected with it. After a day or two the person was well again.
    John Brien, Gurane, Corofin, Co. Galway was also a seventh son in his father's family. He was able to cure the pox too. He made a plaster and this is what it consisted of, a half-pint of new milk, half a cup of whiskey, a spoon of water and a spoon of salts.
