  1. There is a flat green field situated on the side of the road which runs from Biggora, Corofin, Co. Galway to Castle Hackett Co. Galway. It belongs to Fred Gannon, Shop-Street, Tuam. About two hundred and sixty years ago a flood rose in in it. The water was not abating so the people began to pray that it would abate. After three day and angel came and touched the water and on the following morning the land was dry.
