- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)lived near by. This smuggler is buried in Kenure Cemetry and there is an old English inscription on his tombstone which can be read with great diffculty and which begins thus: - "Here lies Jack the Bachelor etc". It is very interesting to explore this cave with flash lamps. Hoards of gold, silks, laces, wines and skins are said to be hidden in this underground passage. The Drumanagh is a headland about a mile along the coastline, north of the town of Rush. It was the scene of a pitched battle between the Irish and Danes. At present there is a dyke lying across the headland, which was probably part of the Irish defence. Some years ago an old head gear like like a helmet and also some bones were dug up. A Martello tower also stands on the Drumanagh.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
