  1. Here are some local cures.
    To go under the harness of a donkey till where the land of two land-lords meet it will cure the mumps. Here is a cure for the toothache not to shave on a Sunday.
    The lick of a dog's tongue is good for a cut.
    If the cat "scrabs" you you should pull some hair out of her back and put it on the cut or it will "beel".
    If you have a bad cold you should eat a bit of "garlic" and you will get better.
