Two thirds of yone valley where the lilies doth grow
One forth of Mount City while sailing the seas
Her name it will tell to the boys of the braes.
    VI
Fore ye well Cabadoey that place of renown
Where mirth and diversion was always there found
Where the youngsters each evening together does roam.
I am sorry to leave them and to part from my home
Where the lads and the lassies oftimes sport and play.
All around Cabadoey I would spend all my days.
This song was composed by Robert Scott. He was a native of Cabadoey. he made it on my great aunt Katie Nelson. She was born in Ballybig.
