    Fairy Tale.
    In our glen there is a big stone. It stands upright near a river. It is said on Hallowe'en night the fairies dance round this stone singing and saying to each other "Rise and leave by your bowl and spoon."
    People were afraid to go near the rock, the were afraid to let their children go out at night for fear the fairies would take them. To prevent this they put meal and salt on their heads.
    The children did not like this on their heads and then they would not go out.
