“Somewhere in Donegal there is a hill where Fionn Mac Cumail and his best warriors are supposed to be sleeping.”
(continued from previous page)Then he saw a dim light in the distance and he went a bit further, and fell over a large horn. He lifted it and breather softly into it. A humming noise filled the cave and one warrior with silver hair sat up, and also the rest of his companions, and he said to them "Is the time yet come. The other warriors all answered together saying "no". They saw the man standing there, and said to one another "What kind of a creature is this." We could walk over him and not know we were doing it, he is so small and weak looking."
The man grew frightened, and, ran out of the cave as quickly as he could, and ran home and told his neighbours They all went out looking for the hole but could not find it.
The story is that Fionn Mc Cumaill and his warriors are there waiting for the day when someone else will blow the horn when they will rise and go out to fight for Ireland once again.- Collector
