    hand on the ground. They were placed in twos and two lifted in time to catch two that had been thrown up. Three and four stones were dealt with in this way.
    This game was played in Summer outside, but it was played indoors in all seasons. She played hide and go seek. One would stand with her back while the other four or five taking part in the game would hide. When all would be in hiding, - she would go out and try to find them. When the searcher would find one (shy) she would call "hy spy" and run. The person found hat to run for the den without being caught.
    Hoops were whirled, both wooden and iron hoops were used the game was enjoyed. Skipping was a great game and still is. A great game was "Frog Frog Im on your bog eating bread and honey."
    A place was marked out as the frogs territory - and all the scholars kept running about and trying to get foot on the frog's land. Each one shouted "frog, frog, Im in your bog." Whoever was caught became the new frog.
