    Lá amháin bhí Colmcille amuigh ag siubhail agus nuair a bhí sé ag tarraingt ar theach thug siad fé deara go raibh Colm ag teacht. Níor mhait leo seo mar bhí fhios aca go bhfanochadh sé tamall fada ag cainnt leis an fear. Mar sin dealuigh fear an toighe agus chuaidh sé a' luighe. Nuair a tháinig Colm isteach d'fiafhruigh sé chá raibh fear an toighe. D'freagair a bhean go raibh sé na luighe tinn. Níor fhan Colm ibhfadh agus nuair a d'imthigh sé chuaidh an bean síos 'un seomra agus d'fhiach sí leis an fhear a mhusgladh ach bhí sé maol marbh
