the milk from the cows and left them dry. She stole young animals lambs and poultry.
To avoid being killed Sally turned herself into a hare. She had a great habit of scratching her ear.
One day two men Moses Glenn and Andrew Callaghan went out to shoot. They saw this hare sitting scratching her ear and they at once knew it was Sally. They made up their minds to shoot her.
It takes a silver bullet to shoot a witch so they melted a sixpence and off they went to look for Sally. They saw her sitting on a rock and they fired at her and shot her on the leg. She limped off and the men followed but when thy reached her house she was in bed with a sore leg.
