   It is lucky to find money.
   Breaking a mirror is unlucky.
   A black cat is counted lucky.
   If you see a magpie it is unlucky, and if you see two magpies it is lucky.

   There is an old saying that if a child is born on Whit Sunday, he is said to kill himself or some other person. There is another saying that it is not right to sleep the second time on that day. Most people think it is unlucky to go near rocks on Whit Sunday also. If people get their hair cut on Good Friday, they say they will not have a sore head for a year. Anything that people ask for on Good Friday at three o'clock, they are sure to get it.
