    Doghadh tig i bparóisde Bhaile-an-Phuill os cionn leath-cheud bliadhain ó shoin agus scuabadh fear-a-tighe agus bean-a-tighe sa tóiteán acht tháinig saor an t-aon duine amháin a thug Dia dhoibh mac. Thóg aintín idir láimh é go raibh fásta.
    Gabhadh in Eochaill é lá i dtaobh meisce agus tugadh dtí an mbearraic é.
    Chuaidh aintín chun é do shaoradh agus chuaidh na fochair comharsa dárbh ainm Patsy Dineen. Ní raibh ag Patsy bocht ach Béarla bréan briste ach shaoil go bhfaghadh sé trua do chur i gcroí an Sarjent le scéal an tinteáin.
