  1. To make a basket you would want trees called sallies. These are shrubs you would get in a wet place, especially in a bog. The sallies should be boiled and peeled and left to dry before you could go to work. You should stick the strong shrubs down in the ground in the shape you would want the basket to be. Then you should put lighter ones between each of these in the breadth. A round basket is usually for eggs and for tinkers going around selling things and a basket with a cover is for butter and messages.
