    Water found on a rock on a dry day was a good cure for warts by rubbing it around the wart. Gun powder and candle grease mixed was a good cure for cow-pock. The skin of an egg when boiled was a good cure for drawing boils.
    A cure for boils was baking soda it would not let it blister. Hemlock was also a good cure for cuts and burns. Puckie mushrooms got growing on an old tree was a good poultice and also the juice of raw potatoes. A cure for rheumatism was to carry a raw potato.
