  1. We have a churn at home. It is 18 ins. in height, and it is 13 ins. in width on the top and 11 ins in the bottom. The sides of it are straight. It is 3 1/2 years old. There is no mark on the sides or bottom of it. Butter is made in our house twice a week in Summer time and once a week in Winter. My mother does the churning herself, but when strangers come in they help at the churning because it is said if they didn't they would bring the butter with them.
The churning takes a half hour in summer and about an hour in Winter.
The churning is done in our house by hand
