  1. We grow a big lot of potatoes on our farm every every year. We always have a good crop of potatoes. All we do not use ourselves we sell on the market. My Father prepares the ground for the potatoes. He ploughs the field if there are not stones in it but if there are stones in it he digs it. He has to be careful with the setting of potatoes because if he does not he will not have a good crop.
    If the land is wet he makes drills he makes drills and if it is dry he makes ridges. The woman of the house cuts the slits. Cutting the seed potatoes is a a work in itself, there may be two or three or four eyes in a potatoe but the slitter has to be careful that there is an eye in every slit because if there is not it will not grow a plant. The
