  1. My Home District.
    The Townland in which I live in is Owenwee. There are 11 families in it. There are 62 people in (it) altogether. Kearn's family is the most common. All the houses were thatched until a few years ago they began slating them, and now there are five of them slated. Owenwee got its name from the river which is flowing through it. The waters of this river be yellow when in flood. There are seven people over seventy years living there. Thomas Joyce Creig a' tSionnaigh can tell stories in English.
    There are two houses now in ruins who were occupied by two familys. One
