in the drain. He went home to his wife and told her the story and he said to her that if he [?] left his mare he would never bother with the pot of gold. Just then he heard a noise outside and he went out to see what was making it and he found to his great surprise the mare and foal in the yard outside. He immediately wrote to his brother telling him the story and also telling him not to come home that he would never bother with the gold.
