  1. Many years ago a man named Walter Hunt lived in the village of Ballyclogher in the Parish of Balla Co Mayo. He dream'nt three nights in succession of a pot of gold which lay in a field near a lake named Lough Aveely
After having dream'nt the third night the next day he set out to secure the treasure
The impelements he brought with him were :- a spade, and a shovel. When he came to the spot, he started to dig but found to his great surprise the ground so hard that he could not sink the spade into it. He went home and he nor any other person never tried to secure the "ciste" since.
