    Once upon a time there lived in the village of Cross-beg a poor widow and her only son.

    and all kinds of food began jumping up and she laughed twice. Then he put the primpalawn playing and the mouse dancing and she laughed again and they were married. They came down to Cross-beg in a carriage and brought up the widow and on their way home they came to a bridge and the bridge benden and the story is ended.
