    One man called Sean an tSagart ? was in this area spying on the priests. In this district mass was said on the side of a hill in Paire Dearg. The stones and the path leading to it can be seen on the present day. A priest was killed in that place and many people also, in 1822 by Sean an tSagart. The mounds which are believed to be their graves can be seen yet.
    Mass was said in the houses that were built in secret places in the Penal Days.
