  2. My mother often made shirts out of flour bags for us children. She also made then out of flannelette, and out of swanskin. She also knitted socks or stockings as some people call them. She makes the stockings yet. She teases the wool first and oils it and then she cards it and makes rolls of it. Then sets the spinning wheel and forms it into thread. She keeps on making the thread until she has enough for a few pairs fo stockings. Then she
