    The place in which I live is called Ballymartin. Baile means town and Máirtín means Martin. One day one of Cromwell's soldiers was passing through Ballymartin. He said to a man named Martin, "how are the lands around there?" Martin said, "they are not worth a penny." "If that is the case," said the soldier, "you can keep them yourself."
    The well that is in the farm is called Tobar-Cloch. There is a field called suil an bothar. There is another field called the Highfield. Another field which is a good distance from my house is called
