  1. My grandfather made baskets in olden times. Four willow rods were stuck down in a green field. They made the frame of the basket. He would weave a double (..) of rods for the mouth of the basket. He would weave the rods in and out and hammer them down with a mallet.
    All the old women in the district could spin and card and make stockings out of wool. They would send the thread to the weaver
