  1. The Lark is a small bird about the size of a wren. He has a very beautiful voice. He is the first bird to rise in the morning. He starts his song at once and he sings as he flies up and up till he is out of sight in the sky. There is a saying "to rise with the lark.
    His colour is grey. He builds his nest in the meadow, and has his young reared before it is time for the farmer to cut it.
    The crane is a large bird with a very long neck and he is very much like the swan. His colour is white and has very long black legs. He frequents the bogs and marshes and the land around the
