Nearly two hundred years ago a blacksmith, whose name is unknown, was returning from some local town. It was soon after the famine and the people were still poor. The man being weak with hunger, fell exhausted by the roadside. Two pigs came and tore him to pieces and ate part of him. What remained of him was buried and the two pigs were shot and buried along with him.
A flat stone over the grave bears the inscription of two pigs, a hammer and pincers. The writing on the stone is undiscernable.
Before a person dies lights are seen to go from the Inchicronan Island, Kilawinna and Kilraghtas graveyards to the home of the deceased. Many local people have seen the light go towards the house and then drop under the sick man's window and disappear.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
