On the day of the marriage the man and his friends met at the house of the bride. Then they had a dinner. In the evening they went off to be married. The people then went in side cars. The rich people went in carriage and four or two horses under the carriage.
After the marriage the bride and bridegroom went to the house of the bridegroom. They and all the friends spent the night singing and dancing until morning.
At the wedding long ago a great many tinkers gathered for money. The boys of the locality dressed up in straw and went to the house without being invited. They were called “straw boys”.
