There were two terrible storms in 1839 and 1903. The usual thing happened in 1839. I often heard my father telling about the storm in 1903. The roaves were lifted of houses and carried miles and miles before they on the ground again. Trees fell and killed many people and animals lost their lives. There is a river at the back of ourhouse and it is down father than the door but it so happened that the flood rose so high that it came in on the door and flooded the bottom storey of the house. This was the results of the storm in 1903.
