Long ago there were generally a shop or two in every district or hamlet and there are yet, and they only thing new is the travelling shops - that is people going round with vehicles selling goods in order to increase their trade. People usually have not to go to the nearest town now-a-days to make purchases except on certain occasions.
    A little buying and selling is carried on after Mass in the country and some things sold in this way are cigarettes an household necessary. Money was not always given for goods. Those who had plenty of money would give money for goods, those who had not, usually gave eggs and
