The sea getting black looking is the sign of rain. - About the year 1839 on the sixth of January a fierce storm occurred which terrified the people of that time.
This storm occurred at night and everyone ran frantic with fear.
The harm done by this storm was immense. It knocked down dwelling houses, chapels and churches. Many cattle were killed by falling walls and other cattle escaped by people turning them out into the fields.
