For the convenience of the people in the Dromod district, the house of Patrick McCabe, Munnea (now Johnny Connolly's) was used as a kind of "Collection Box". The letters were left on a table in a room or a postman came at intervals (or perhaps daily) from Cootehill and brought them there.
