  2. There was a hedge school in Eddy Reddmans field. The teacher was Eddie Martin the school was held in the Summer and the teacher stayed in the houses. In the winter there was no school. There was no Irish there was only English reading and English writing taught. The children sat on stones and wrote on slates with slate
