- The height of my churn is four feet long and three feet broad.
The churn is round. We churn once in Winter and twice in Summer, a week. Some people put on hot water during the process, to do the churning quicker. There is a dash in the churn. It is worked up and down by the hand. My mother and myself do the churning. The butter is taken of with a butter strainer. Then it is washed with pure cold water and made into rolls or prints. The butter milk is given to calfs and pigs. People know when the butter is made because it cleans or rounds down of the dash.- Faisnéiseoir
