- There were many games played in my locality long ago.
One of these was football. The kind of a ball they used was a hay ball. The way they made it was to twist a hay-rope, and to make it up into several dulls in the shape of a ball, so that it would last a whole day's kicking.
There were no goals or points in those times. They played through other every way, and the only thing any one of them wanted was to get a good kick at the ball. there was a man telling me, that he often saw several people going home injured.
