Collected from Michael Smith, Ballinacargy, Drung, Cavan 40 years
Treasure is supposed to be hidden in the Annalee river at Ballinacargy birge in the county Cavan. It was hidden by the danes. It was hidden to not let the owners of the castle get it. The O'Reilly's were the owners of the castle.
The people around the castle dug it up. John Acheson dug it up. He was succesful. He got six coins. They were copper coins. Some of the treasure was found.
The treasure was never saw. There is no light about it at night. There are not any fairys guarding the treasure.
