  1. Long ago there was a mid Summer fair in Stradone on the 24 of June. It was in the town of Stradone. This was an old fair long ago. Their was another old fair in Ballyhaise. The 14 of May and the 12 of November are old fairs in the town of County Cavan. There are fairs every month in Cavan. Cattle sheep pigs horses butter and eggs are sold in Cavan fair. When the people would bring their cattle to the fair the jobbers would be there to buy them. The farmers would ask so much for their cattle and the jobbers would give them so much. People would come in and divide the difference between the farmers and the jobbers. The luck penny is from five shillings to two and six pence. On the monday before the fair there is
