Belturbet - There are many kinds of birds in this country. The waterhen, crane, boldy, wiggon, pheasant, snipe, tale, curlew, swan, puffin, hawk, thrush, robin, wren, pigon, crow, blackbird, sparrow, bullfinch and the williewagtail. In April we have the cuckoo and the corncrake and they stay with us all the summer round but the other birds stay with us the whole year round. The swallow comes in April and stays with us until September. Each of these birds have a language of their own. Before the swallows leave this country they all gather in a group and chatter to one another for some time. Then one bird flies away headed by all the rest.
