  1. Once upon a time there lived a woman and she was very mean. No matter what poor person can to her, she grudged to give them anything. One day a poor woman came and asked her for an old skirt. The woman wouldn't give her the skirt. That night she dreamt that she died and that she seen three fires before her, that she had to go through. She was very frightened, but Saint Peter came up to her and asked did she ever give anything for God's sake
    She said she gave a stick to an old woman one time to help her to walk. Well, says St Peter "that will help you by the first fire". So by the help of the stick she got by the first fire" Then up comes
