  1. 1. The pins, etc used in "laying out" the corpse should be put in the coffin.
    2. The chairs which the coffin rested on should be turned down, when the coffin is lifted.
    3. "The coffin should be carried feet foremost out of the house, into the chapel and to grave."
    4. "It's not lucky to take a "short cut" with a corpse.
    5. It's not lucky to bring a corpse by its own house, on way to grave.
    6. You shouldn't wear anything new to a funeral, especially new boots or stockings
    7. If you meet a funeral, you should turn back and walk three steps with it.
