  1. Long ago there was a plague of rats in a house in Cam. The people who lived in this house were Slators. They heard of a man who could send rats from one house to another. They went to this man and asked him to send the rats some other where, and he did. One Sunday when the people were going home from Mass they met an awful lot of rats going away from Slators. They went to a house called O'Farrells.

  2. A person who has the Charm for Billeting rats, writes on a paper, and leaves this paper on the "Rats Pass". The "King Rat" picks up this paper. Then all the rats about the place get together and follow the "King Rat" who leads them holding the papers between his teeth.
