  1. "When a pig is being killed catch his blood in a crock. Keep it well stirred while it cools. Mix oaten meal, onions, pepper, salt and lard with the blood. Boil some sweet milk and add it to the mixture. Boil this for about an hour. Fill the puddings with it. Tie with thread, drop into boiling water, boil gently for some minutes.
