Bread
9th June, 1938 In olden times the people had oaten cake, potato bread and "boxty". They also had pancakes then as we have now.
Oaten bread was made from oaten meal wet with soft water to which a small tea spoon of salt had been added. It was mixed well, kneaded and left on a table or board to harden a little. After about ten minutes it was left on a gird iron(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
