- The old people used rasin candles that they made from rasin out of the dale trees. The only baskets that are used now are the homemade baskets. The best basket maker in the district was Franck Cassidy, Fardromin. He could make hand baskets; turf baskets; and clothes baskets He is about twenty years dead now. The best blacksmith was Pat Fury (Paig) Gaigue. He is about Forty years dead. His nephew Paddy Fury still holds a forge in Kiltycreevagh. In nearly every house there was a spinning wheel untill this last four or five year There were three good spinners in the district; the "Weaver Donnelly"(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
