They put the bog-wood and copperis and the clothes they were dyeing into a pot and let them boil and when they would take out the clothes they were black. There are no lime burning around this district now. But about twenty years ago everybody used to burn the lime in their own lime kilns. The remains of old lime kilns are still to be seen about the district.
