- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)is a harvest knot your wife will die or live in that month. They do not get married in September because it is a harvest knot. Most of the people get married in June and July because they say they are the luckiest months in the year. They do not get married in May because it is our Lady's month and they do not get married in that month. Most of the people get married before lent. In my District they never get married in the houses nowadays, they say when they are married in a house it is not a marriage at all. Most of the people get married on a Monday as the old rhyme says;
Monday for wealth,
Tuesday for health,
Wednesday the best day of all,
Thursday for crosses,
Friday for losses,
and Saturday no day at all.- Bailitheoir
