- We have our turf in Mullagh bog. The name of the man that owns the bog is Charles Smith. When we are going to the bog, we bring a shovel, a sleagan and a barrow. When we are on the bog, we go into the bog hole and throw up the mud, then we wet it. Then we run it with our hands, and shape it into turf. In a couple of days after, we cut them out with the sleaghán, and put them on their ends. When they are dry, we put them in windows. Then we clamp them after some time, and put them in ricks.
