  2. The townlands in which I live is called Cardistown and most of it is owned by Mr. Caraher.
    Some of the larger fields have special names.
    The field between the main entrance gate and Mr. Caraher's residence is called The Avenue Field, because the avenue runs through it. Lay na Hiomána, meaning The Field of the Hurling, runs from the back of the residence to Rathory border. Touching this field we have Brown's Rock, The Big Corass and
