The room door opened and in came four ghostly officers in uniforms carrying a coffin. They brought the coffin to his bedside and left it on the floor.
The four officers looked at the solder in bed, lifted up the coffin again, out of the room and went downstairs. The solder heard no more and quenched the light and fell asleep.

He then came downstairs and told the man what had happened during the night. The man told him he was the first to escape that everyone else was found dead in the bed. The two of them went back to the lodge.
