This is a true story that happened down in Ballinatona. A man was going home and it was late so he said that he would make a shortcut and so he had to go through a fort. He was going out a gap and he was put back by light.
Then he saw a woman standing up on the fence and she dressed in white, he heard chains noising and he got a great fright and they followed him down a long way the fields.
He just came to a river and he heard no more of them and so he did not go that way anymore.
