  1. A strange story is told of a man from Corderry who used to make the pilgrimage to St. Shion's Well every year.
It happened that he was taken prisoner and could not make the pilgrimage one year. About twelve o'clock on the eve of the pilgrimage a man walked into the cell and told the prisoner to follow him.
When they reached the street a white horse stood there. The stranger ordered the prisoner to mount the horse and when he did so the horse galloped off and continued galloping until he reached the prisoner's home. The prisoner went on the pilgrimage and next day went back to prison.
